Excellent food but very slow service. After more than an hour the seconds still haven't arrived...

Really good food and great service

I had the pleasure of discovering the Hao Ke Lai Restaurant thanks to some friends and I was pleasantly impressed. The restaurant is family-run, the welcome was kind and polite and the food was excellent for me! I chose to be a vegetarian, and although the majority of the dishes on the menu are based on meat and fish, I was still able to choose many dishes that allowed me to taste new ingredients and flavours. The bamboo stew was excellent, the sweet and sour aubergines were delicious and last, but not least, the vegetable ravioli made by hand and not purchased ready-made (the difference is clear compared to the ready-made ones). I also had the chance to taste delicious stewed tofu, sautéed seasonal vegetables... wow, everything was excellent and at a fair price! A place to mark if you are from Pavia and to always keep the business card in your wallet XD P.s. in case you are not from Pavia, come and visit the city, the first capital of the Lombard Kingdom has a lot to offer, including this excellent Chinese restaurant <3 An important note: the number of tables is limited, therefore I recommend booking especially for groups of 6 to 10 people!

Finalmente un ristorante cinese interessante a Pavia. Sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dalla scelta del menù e dalla presenza di alcuni piatti particolari. Ho preferito andare sul classico prendendo ravioli di carne alla griglia, veramente ottimi, riso alla cantonese, tra i migliori assaggiati negli ultimi tempi, e pollo alla mandorle, quest'ultimo nella media. Ho ordinato a domicilio e il ristorante è stato puntuale nella consegna e il cibo è arrivato ben caldo. Ordinerò di nuovo da questo locale, sono curioso di provare altri piatti della loro cucina.

Da fuori non sembra granchè, ma in tanti anni la qualità della cucina è sempre stata eccellente. Piatti anche diversi dal solito cinese, consiglio le melanzane agropiccanti, immancabili ad ogni visita. Il sabato servizio più lento.
