Anyone who enjoys excellent steaks will be in good hands at Hidalgo with Otto Mattivi and his team. Top quality, superb cuisine, and the staff are very attentive and competent. I'm not in South Tyrol regularly, but when I am, Hidalgo is a must.

We've been to the restaurant several times and have always been very satisfied with the regional grilled specialties! A very good selection, delicious seasonal soups, and excellent service. My recommendation: the Lagrein-braised beef cheeks with a reduced wine sauce.

A truly excellent restaurant. Very accommodating even when making the table reservation over the phone, attentive service, and excellent service throughout the entire evening, including explanations of each course on the menu. As a guest, you feel well looked after without feeling overly intrusive. We'd be happy to come back.

I can't say I had a bad meal, but perhaps I expected a little more. This restaurant has had a reputation for being excellent for decades, but after this dinner, I'd classify it as a mid-range restaurant.
Positive notes: the service. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The grilled shrimp were delicious.
Negative notes: the tartare was served unseasoned. Not all guests are capable of properly seasoning a tartare. I would suggest having someone season it at the table, asking the guest's preferences. Then, have them taste it before serving.
Another sore point were the desserts. €10.50 for a coffee cream with amaretto brittle, a truly mediocre dessert. The portion was small and too much gelatine. Unfortunately, very few restaurants these days are capable of producing a dessert that lives up to the quality of their main courses.
