I recently dined at Hemingway and was deeply impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and impeccable service. The menu featured a variety of innovative dishes, with bold flavors and beautiful presentation. We chose to dine here based on the menu and it had sufficient indoor tables for a cool evening. At 17:00 it was quiet, but was soon full by 18:00. I didn't expect such good food based on the mixed prior reviews, so thought we should add our thoughts. We had the bread salad, orecchiette, al assassina, octopus and steak with truffles & parmesan. All was really good! I had to add salt, but I've found that across our travels. I think it's just our American high-blood pressure preference. LOL! Servings were larger than anticipated, given reviews. Generous pasta servings and I had a full steak (for Americans, probably equivalent to ~ a 1/2" thickness, medium sized NY strip) for my beef dish. Service was attentive, but it was very busy and one person was doing it all, so once it got busy, there was a wait. But he was gracious and efficient as could be. Very professional for being short staffed in the early season. Absolutely would recommend this place.

The atmosphere is peaceful, the music, a lot of jazz, excellent! The service was very good and we liked the food a lot. It is also very nice that it is a little away from the seas of tourists. The decoration is divine and is in one of the vaults.

Elegant environment in an extremely central position, professionalism, excellent choice of spirits and wines. Definitely worth trying are the spaghetti all'assassina and the meat!!
