Personally, in addition to the house starters consisting of tastings of traditional Matera dishes, I tried the beer shank with a side of potatoes (EXQUISITE). The other diners, however, tried the sliced chicken and beef with rocket and parmesan flakes (also delicious).

I knew the previous place so I wanted to try this new version with my family. The place is well furnished, I liked the sofas and cushions even if the tables are a bit small. The service, however, is very poor: the waiter is too grumpy and angular, gives bad answers... completely unsuitable for the role. The broad bean and chicory appetizer was good but the croutons tasted old. Following the advice of the reviews we took the meatballs and the shank. The first failed both in terms of quality/quantity/flavor (4 dry meatballs) while the second was excellent, with a side dish of baked potatoes. The two little snout litterers are just enough. The music in the background and the general atmosphere were very nice.

Passeggiando per Matera abbiamo deciso di sederci all'esterno di questo semplice ma curato localino.
Personale disponibile e simpatico il Sig.Onofrio titolare del locale persona simpaticissima e cortese ci ha consigliato alcune portate davvero buonissime ed infine ci ha fatto provare gli spaghetti all' assassina (una delizia).
Sicuramente ci ritorneremo al prossimo viaggio a Matera.
Lo consiglio a tutti nn vi pentirete.

Very welcoming place,
kind and friendly staff,
excellent food (the pasta all'assassina is something wonderful) but above all fantastic music.

well what can I say, excellent food and super patient waiter.
the location is beautiful and they make you feel at home.
A spirit of friendship and home is created between the guys in the room and the customer, an ideal place to have a chat both among a group of friends and with other people present.

I come from Catania and my wife and I ate 6 different courses very well, all very very good. If we had stayed tomorrow we would definitely have returned here.

Ho trovato questo locale per caso…Un ambiente raffinato e curato nei minimi dettagli. La cucina è eccellente, con piatti squisiti che deliziano il palato. Il bistrot è anche fornitissimo di ogni tipo di alcolico, per soddisfare qualsiasi preferenza.
I proprietari sono persone molto simpatiche e disponibili… con un team fantastico, con una particolare attenzione per i bambini, rendendo ogni visita piacevole per tutta la famiglia.
Consiglio questo bistrot a tutti coloro che cercano un'esperienza culinaria unica a Matera.
