07/02/2026: My husband and I stopped by chance at the Riva di Traiano tourist port, and among the local restaurants, we were drawn to Sapori di Riva, and I must say we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed excellent food: the selection of appetizers, including an innovative supplì/fish croquette, truly delicious; creamed cod on polenta chips and with squid ink rice chips, truly divine; fried anchovies with homemade lime mayonnaise, a delicious dish; and an incredible cuttlefish tripe with puréed cherry tomatoes and pecorino cheese, nothing short of amazing! To follow, we had a mixed grill with prawns, scampi, calamari, and swordfish—excellent and plentiful—and a mixed fried fish platter with small conger eels, small sole, red mullet, hake/cod, anchovies, and prawns—truly delicious; and baked potatoes, and we drank Ischian white wine. The ingredients are excellent, and the dishes are exquisite and carefully prepared, with some truly surprising innovations. Compliments to the chef! The prices are very fair, and the quality/price ratio is excellent.
The place is beautiful, very well-kept, and welcoming. We had lunch inside because it was raining, but the restaurant has a splendid furnished terrace where you can dine year-round. Once inside, we were greeted by the owner, a warm and delightful person who fully conveys the passion he puts into his business. We will definitely be back.
