Excellent eatery right in the city centre of Matera. The place offers a very wide variety of local specialties, all attractively presented, fresh and delicious. Prices are very convincing too. We bought pinsa and a few other panini in various flavours and they were all great. The shop assistant was also very helpful and patient while she explained us the various types of food they have. I would definitely come back.

Great place for a break near the Sassi with quiet tables outside and great prices! (Only flaw: Fried food is heavy, I recommend The rest)

It was like a typical pizza place in Italy. It was raining heavily in the evening as we were walking through Matera. We rushed in without looking at the reviews and found it to be very good. I think it is the best choice if you are looking for a reasonably priced meal in Italy. My son is 3 years old and the bathroom was out of order which was a bit of a problem.

Agriturismo Oasi Rupestre

04/12/2024: I was in Montescaglioso with a group and we had the pleasure of having lunch at the Rock Oasis. The experience was fantastic. The welcome was impeccable: the staff, in particular Stefano, was attentive, kind and ready to satisfy our every need. Lunch was excellent, with typical traditional Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The quiet and family atmosphere made the moment truly special. We also visited the surrounding area and the rooms of the farmhouse: simple, but with that touch of ''rusticity''. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic cuisine and a welcome that makes you feel at home. The icing on the cake was the large fireplace, further warming up the Christmas atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
05/11/2024: Nice experience in this property, cleanliness, courtesy and helpfulness of the owners. The breakfasts prepared by the lady are delicious and the dinners are no less with exquisite products expertly prepared at a good price

29/07/2024: Les premières glaces dégustées à Matera nous n’avons pas été déçu ce glacier est idéalement situé et ouvert jusqu’à tard le soir. Je recommande. Aux alentours de 2,50€ la boule.
