Gusto Parmigiano In Milano

Great afternoon restaurant when most others are closed.

The lasagna, meat, and tiramisu are incredible. The staff is very friendly! A little outside the hustle and bustle of the center, it's worth a quick stop!

We enter at an exceptionally low hour. Perfect timing, because shortly thereafter, the place bustles with patrons of all kinds, including the inevitable tourist eager to wash down their Emilian lunch with a "reviving" cappuccino. We're immediately greeted with small samples of aged Parmesan cheese, which we obviously appreciate. We choose a lasagna, which is sublime, and tortelli in two ways: with herbs and with culatello. In both cases, they're topped with butter and sage. Exceptional. We'd be satisfied, but we can't resist sharing a portion of meatballs in a Parmesan cream. It's all washed down with a glass of Lambrusco, not overbearing and perfectly complementing the bold dishes we've chosen. The kitchen is open to the public. Service is quick, and the waitresses are friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is simple. There's a store, whose products, sourced from a well-known Parma dairy, we've already enjoyed in the past. Recommended.
