Tutto è perfetto qui, nell’ex dimora de “la Bela Rusin”, la moglie morganatica di Re Vittorio Emanuele II. I fratelli Piero e Ugo Alciati continuano la grande tradizione gastronomica del papà Guido riproponendo sempre in grande stile i loro piatti della tradizione. Per noi questa volta il menù da 85€ con un risotto al cardo gobbo che da solo valeva il viaggio. Poi agnello, finanziera, agnolotti da mangiare “a mani nude”, dolci strepitosi. Inutile sottolineare la cordialità e bravura del personale di sala perfetto anche nel consigliare i vini “giusti”.

The wonderful, tasty food, presented as if in a starred restaurant, with captivating flavours. the location is also very refined, warm and comfortable. The only measure I would use to enhance and complete this experience is to include a sommelier on the staff who does this professionally, who can enhance the wine list and advise without hesitation. The presentation at the table by the chefs was beautiful, much appreciated. Chef Claudio is friendly, nice, a good host who greets his guests at the end of lunch. Plus, open kitchen

Guido restaurant is located in the splendid Villa Reale of the Fontanafredda estate immersed in the hills of the Langhe, magnificent frescoes and tables set with great class... the chef Ugo Alciati is the oenologist brother Piero and matre' di Sala know how to give their guests an experience unique, the impeccable service, the Sala staff very professional and prepared, the mise en place top marks from the first to the last dish, a food and wine experience fit for kings and queens, veal with tuna sauce Lidia's famous agnolotti with roast sauce etc... the super desserts. the ice cream from Alciati is a fairy tale... The wine cellar is worthy of envy... The famous royal chocolate truffle made in Alciati is absolutely worth trying... If you pass by Fontanafredda in the Langhe, definitely stop by
