Nice place, probably a house converted into a restaurant. I appreciated their willingness to offer a vegan menu: the first course was good, but the second course had a poor pairing: the fresh porcini mushrooms were completely overpowered by the sweet glaze and pesto-like sauce.
The service was good; the waiters were young and therefore not very experienced. Overall, a good experience.

I had been wanting to try Ristorante Groto de Corgnan in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella for a long time and we came here to celebrate our anniversary.
The location is very authentic, the feeling when entering the restaurant is that of arriving at the home of a relative or friend.
In the outdoor patio, with the vine as a ceiling, you can breathe a relaxing air.
The service is young, prepared and courteous.
We opted for the tasting menu they proposed with 5 courses: an appetizer, two first courses, a second course and a dessert (or cheese tasting).
The dinner was very pleasant and I personally particularly appreciated the ricotta and nettle tortelli, and the tagliolini with truffle.
The menu changes every month to always remain in line with seasonal products.
The experience was very positive and I am sure we will return here again in the future.

Very nice place in Val Policella found by chance since our destination was the town of San Giorgio whose road was closed for a demonstration.
Extremely kind staff and very "intimate" place with also the possibility of eating outside under a pergola.
Very well-prepared food with studied and noteworthy combinations, using raw materials from the area (for example the grapes from the pergola). Excellent selection of cheeses for our palate and very tasty dessert.
Slightly expensive for our personal tastes but certainly the food offered is worth the expense required.

A Pasqua abbiamo prenotato in questo locale. Abbiamo ordinato il menu di Pasqua proposto consistente in 6 portate (2 antipasti, 2 primi, 1 secondo, 1 dolce). Tutto molto buono con prodotti freschi e genuini secondo ricette della tradizione locale molto curate. Ampia scelta di vini. Servizio giovane, gentile, veloce e preciso. Impiattamento e presentazione validi. Location datata, ma pulita e piacevole. Prezzi trasparenti, un po' alti, ma giustificati dalla qualità. Parcheggio comodo nelle adiacenze. Complimenti alla nuova chef con l'augurio di entrare presto nella guida Michelin.

We had a weekend lunch at Groto de Corgnan with some friends in early March. We all had a wonderful afternoon with an incredible tasting menu suggested by the Chef, a bonus was it included matching locals wines. Amazing food with very friendly and professional service. The restaurant had a beautiful family feel with quite a few local people enjoying a meal. What I loved about the meal was experiencing truly local fare, not just the recipes but the produce was sourced from the direct area and the our lovely waiter took great pride explaining where it all came from. Highly recommended and next time we are in the region (not far from Verona and Lake Garda) we will return.
