Groto de Corgnan In Sant'ambrogio di valpolicella

Groto De Corgnan restaurant..located in via Corgnan 41..Sant'Ambrogio di Val Policella, opens at lunchtime and then in the evening at 7.30pm. Reservation is mandatory, it has an internal room, outdoor tables, and a beautiful fireplace. This is a small rustic restaurant with a beautiful terrace under vine plants with nearby tables, beautiful and tableclothed, the chairs also have cushions comfortable and relaxing, inside they offer traditional and also seasonal cuisine... with tasting itineraries, with a lot of generosity... and a lot of hospitality. The location is very spectacular and enchanting, after all we are in the beautiful Valpolicella among villages, cultivated fields and dream vineyards... but what more could you want... come and try it.

Prima volta qui ,padrona di casa sublime, come le ragazze che servono i piatti, mi è piaciuto molto piatti molto curati ,non do il massimo perché ci voglio tornare e vedere se si merita 5stelle,comunque va bene ,ovvio che non è a buon prezzo ma la qualità si paga volentieri !

We ate well even if the dishes were limited but in winter it was very cold inside. I asked the waitress to increase the temperature and she replied that they couldn't raise the temperature more... suffered the cold all evening

Amazing dinner in Verona! I wish I could give 10 stars!! We had 6 dishes course with 3 amazing red wine glasses. I though I might not finish all of them but it was no problem. I enjoyed them from bottom of heart. Dishes are used with local ingredients, wines are very selected ones. Shamed, I had only one picture as no time to do so!! I differently come back!

...ma non tutto e' perfetto. Ad esempio nel servizio c'e' sicuramente qualcosa da registrare. La pattuglia di giovani cameriere, per quanto gentili e disponiibili, a volte gira un po' a vuoto. Ci siamo seduti alle 12,30 ed abbiamo pagato il conto alle 15,30 e passa. Troppo. Il locale pero' e' molto bello, anche se negli arredi storici qualche segno di usura di toppo c'e'. Si mangia bene senza dubbio. Alle fine conviene andare sui menu degustazione, la diifferenza di prezzo e' poca. A proposito di prezzi. Alti e questo e' ovvio, un po' troppo alti probabilmente. Il tartufo se lo vuoi lo paghi parecchio. Darei 4 palle e mezzo se fosse possibile, 5 no perche' qualche riserva c'e'.

Sep 2024 Back for the 3rd time because it's amazing... I came for my birthday, and couldn't have wished for a better experience. The staff and the owners were welcoming and thoughtful. The food was incredible... we had the small tasting menu and got to enjoy 5 wonderful dishes. It was just amazing. _____________ Dec 2018 I was introduced to Groto de Corgnan just over 2 years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. So I was delighted to be able to go back this past weekend to share it with my favourite person. Since the last time I was there, the lovely and talented Judy and Jonny have taken the reins. The core things that made Groto special are still there - for example all the food must be local and seasonal, and that goes for the wine too! And there are many great enhancements that made the experience even better. The place is fresher and lighter, the portions are more manageable, and the team is really energised. The tasting menu is a thing of beauty. It is truly not just a meal. It is an experience I won't soon forget. Everything was fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go back soon! ___ Sep 2016 I recently spent my birthday with the team at Groto de Corgnan, and I have to say it was absolutely delightful and so special. I had the pleasure of getting to know the owner, Giorgio - a spirited, traditional chef from the region - that week with the help of my friends who translated. He even took me to see his very own garden in the mountains and shared some of his favourite scenes in the region which also made it extra special. He is very passionate that all the food he serves must be local and seasonal, and that goes for the wine too! That passion comes shining through in the amazing combinations of smells, tastes and colours. The tasting menu is a thing of beauty. It is truly not just a meal. It is an experience I won't soon forget. Everything was fresh and delicious. Giorgio came out to wish me Buon Compleanos, and Judy and Elisa were wonderful hostesses throughout the evening.
