Grand Hotel Villa Politi 1862 In Siracusa

If you love classic style and service, you've come to the right place. I made a mistake booking a room, but it was resolved within fifteen minutes without any extra charges. A big thumbs up for the staff.

This hotel is perfectly located with beautiful views of the sea and Mount Etna. The rooms are large, but could use some updating. The staff is very friendly.

No situated closed to Ortigia or shops there is a public bus The hotel itself has a long and interesting history.

This hotel has beautiful rooms , gorgeous views and a lovely pool. It’s an easy 25 min walk to Ortigia . I highly recommend this hotel

This hotel pleasantly surprised us; we couldn't find a single negative. The location is excellent, easy to get to, and there's ample on-site parking. The property is nestled above the Latomìe, so it has its own unique charm. Looking down from the balcony, you're transported to ancient Greece. At reception, the staff welcomes you with kindness, ready to satisfy your every need or desire. This applies to everyone, from the restaurant staff to the room staff. An elegant structure that still exudes the charm of ancient splendor. The pool is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained; we didn't miss a single swim. We were amazed by the breakfast, both for the richness and variety of food, and for the quality and abundance; we didn't want to leave. We'll be back again, perhaps with our children.

A beautiful hotel and historic building. The rooms are clean and spacious (approx. 24 m²), and the room was equipped with a 47-inch LCD TV and air conditioning. The bathroom facilities were a bit dated, but clean, and everything worked. The bed was made and towels changed every day. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony. Contrary to other reviews, the breakfast was more than adequate and good (for the most part). You have to be aware that the breakfast here tends to be rather sweet, but there were also cold cuts and cheeses, as well as fresh fruit juices, various cereals, fruit, and other items. There's a coffee machine with various coffee drinks and hot chocolate, as well as hot water for tea. Free parking is also available; maybe avoid parking under a tree, as the birds seem to enjoy decorating your car. We will definitely come back here.

Amazing, Sebastiano and staff were wonderful. Made the stay very pleasant and accomodating. Great food, great pool, beautiful hotel / rooms. Great location, right near the old town with free parking onsite.

What I probably dislike the most is the communication between the staff and the customers. Ask them to repeat in English and still only in Italian. But otherwise everyone is nice and the lady at the pool bar is always smiling and a pleasant person :) Breakfast not much and the restaurant in the hotel - we have had better food

Very friendly staff and they made us feel very welcome. beautiful location and lots of green around us. Beautiful trees and views. Pool had a good temperature and is very relaxing. Would definitely come again!

This is a beautiful iconic hotel very close to the old centre of the beautiful town of Siracusa. It is only a 5 minute drive (or a 20 minute walk) to the Siracusan island of Ortigia. The bedroom was very nicely renovated and was very comfortable and clean. Parking on the Hotel's grounds is a big plus. The breakfast was a bit lacking and can be very simply improved. Parts of the hotel, while still looking grand and beautiful, can do with renovation. Overall, very pleased with our stay, lovely team and would highly recommend. We have been in many hotels in Siracusa and this one is hard to beat.
