A very friendly place to have a bite to eat and enjoy a drink. Pepe went out of his way to please and nothing was too much trouble - arranged an English breakfast for us each morning. Coffee and cakes also tasty - staff very friendly. Would recommend a visit.

Founded in 1844 beneath Palazzo Maresca, Gran Caffè Marianiello is part gelateria, pasticceria, and bar. The curved counter with domed pozzetti lids preserves traditional flavours like nocciola and fiordilatte, while the pastry case offers sfogliatelle, cannoli, and biscotti for gifting. I chose nocciola gelato paired with salted caramel: dense, creamy, slowly yielding in the shade. The dairy was so clean and fresh it almost brought moisture to the eyes; the churn smooth, near-perfect. A touch less sugar and it would have been flawless. A landmark of continuity and craft. 9.5/10.

Very good croissants and pastries, great selection at the cafe, and very good iced coffee. The terrace in the square is lovely.

Trivelig uteplass med god stemning, virket med lokale og turister. Kjøkkenet var stengt så vi spiste en tørr spaghetti-pai og en sandwich som var helt ok. Var spesielt en servitør som utrolig søt og morsom hver gang han kom til bordet som gjorde besøket verd det i seg selv. Sur isdame.

Vinimos aquí para un desayuno rápido. Personal muy amable y acogedor. Pasteles y cafés eran perfectos. Zona de estar acogedora fuera.

Nice bar with a wide selection. I specifically tried both the babà and the limoncello here at Gran Caffè Marianiello. I wasn't particularly impressed with the babà, but the limoncello was good.
