Unique atmosphere!!! It reminds me a lot of Central Perk from the Friends television series. A place that stands out from all the others. Very welcoming and cared for. A point of reference for the neighborhood, it keeps us company from early morning until late at night. Breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches, dinners and aperitifs in the company of very friendly staff. The place is very large and also has an outdoor terrace. A must for those who live in the area but also for those coming from "outside", especially for the cappuccino which has no equal on the face of the earth!!! Two years after my review, I would like to add a note on the human experience that I live every day while I enjoy my cappuccino. The people who work there are wonderful!!! I recommend anyone to spend a few more minutes inside the venue. You leave better people!!!

The thing that struck me most positively when I entered for the first time - the first of many! - at Gommalacca (in addition to the name which is a clear reference to Battiato) it is the space: the environment is really large and immediately communicates that this is a place of relaxation. Upon entering you are greeted by a pleasant ensemble of plants (which also adorn the bright outdoor area in front of the entrance), and after passing the retro-looking counter, a large room opens up - soberly furnished with pieces of vintage furniture that give the right environmental mood - where the numerous tables are never too close to each other (there is also a comfortable sofa for those who want extra comfort); furthermore, during the day the skylights give the room soft and relaxing lighting. This is a place to go for extended breaks, to work in peace on your laptop or to chat with friends without having to raise your voice; even the slightly secluded location from the center (however reachable on foot in a few minutes) gives Gommalacca an additional aura of a 'secret place' for your comfort. Here a cocktail is always accompanied by abundant appetizers (pizzas, pretzels, chips), just as the lunch dishes are generous, which always have vegetarian and vegan alternatives (the same goes for the tasty pastries), always served with courtesy, a joke friendly from the guys in the club and a pop background that is never at invasive volumes (obviously if you love the Battiato Factory you have nothing to fear here, but there is something for everyone's tastes!). I really recommend Gommalacca to anyone who wants a place to feel comfortable at home, for me it is a place to take refuge at any time of the day (lunch, aperitif, free afternoon) with the certainty of always being at ease.

Today we had a brunch with friends, we ate excellent first courses and some salads, I highly recommend it. The staff is efficient and pleasant.

As soon as I entered, I was captivated by the modern and refined furnishings, with large windows that let in natural light and particular attention to the greenery, which gives a touch of freshness and vitality to the environment. The atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, perfect for those who want to unplug from the daily routine and enjoy a moment of pleasant relaxation. The food offering is truly delicious and the choice is wide. The menu also offers several vegetarian and vegan options, which demonstrates the restaurant's sensitivity towards everyone's dietary needs. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff are truly an added value that makes the experience even more pleasant. In addition to being a great bar to relax and enjoy a good meal, this place is also a perfect work space. The large tables allow you to work in complete tranquility, enjoying a comfortable and stimulating environment. Shellac has become my new favorite hideaway in the city. A place where you can work, meet friends, enjoy good food and enjoy a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to spend quality time.

At Gommalacca the environment is very friendly and hospitable, an excellent place for a quick lunch or breakfast. Also perfect for a post-work aperitif.

Beautiful place done with style and taste, I started going there a month ago for a mid-morning café. Very polite staff but the smile that does so much for a customer is missing.
