I studied, read, and worked at this cozy two-story coffee shop. It offers a fantastic chill-out area and a working station on the second floor. Naturally, you can enjoy the beautiful, peaceful library book collection and read. The menu offers affordable coffee and toasts, making it a great place to study for hours. Gogol is a place I've been frequenting for at least 4-5 years. I decided to rewrite this review following several negative reviews posted here on Maps. I want to point out that just because Gogol is a bar-bookstore, that doesn't mean you, as a customer, can feel free to do whatever you want. First of all, many people come in, don't ask what they can/can't do, and sit wherever they want with their laptops, perhaps forgetting that they're guests and not their home. I've often seen customers talking loudly for a LONG time, or even using headphones on calls! This is rude to other customers and the staff. Obviously, this doesn't apply to customers who are downstairs chatting and grabbing something to eat/drink. In fact, I think there's always a great energy in these situations. Furthermore, Gogol is NOT a library. If you need to study or use a computer for hours at a station, go there. The city of Milan offers many, and the Milan State University offers a library in practically ALL of their campuses. The same goes for the Polytechnic University and Bocconi University. I can say that it's true that their prices are slightly higher than other bars, but the quality of the food is positively impacted.

Very cool place to sit down, have a coffee and get a little work done or read. The people running the shop are awesome and the vibe is special.
