Saying "brioche" instead of "cornetto" is a historical and cultural error. Brioche originated in Paris and was codified as early as the 17th century: a soft, rich dough made with butter and eggs, often rounded or "à tête" in shape. It's a precise symbol of French pastry, so much so that in 1774 the famous phrase "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche" (What they eat brioche) is attributed (though probably legendary) to Marie Antoinette. That wasn't a croissant. It was brioche, and that's fine! You can say "cornetto" because it's the correct name for the product we eat at the bar in Italy. Calling it a brioche isn't chic: it's imprecise. And precision, when it comes to history and culture, isn't a detail. What I had and ate today at the bar was a croissant, not a Marie Antoinette-style brioche, so I'd avoid any early-morning linguistic bullying. That said, the CORNETTO was very good!!!

I went to this pastry shop for breakfast and chose a pistachio muffin while my boyfriend had a pistachio brioche. Both were very good, and the muffin wasn't stringy. The place is beautifully decorated and elegant, and the service was quick and efficient, with kind and friendly staff.
