Giuseppe Bellia - La Pasticceria In Giarre

I discovered this pastry shop about eight years ago, thanks to my daughter's work. The place is small, but the food inside is exceptional. I've never had the cassata with that fine ricotta anywhere else, nor the dried fruit baskets. It's a shame that many items can't be shipped, and time flies.

Fabulous granita and gelato. However, I would ask the master pastry chef to make brioche with Tuppo, which the whole world envies us. The miniature pastries are excellent.

This pastry shop is located in Giarre on the road that leads from the highway exit to the town of Giarre. There's convenient free parking inside. The space is small and doesn't have tables because it was originally a pastry shop; the tables are set under the portico in a very refined and quiet setting. The staff is friendly and always available to offer recommendations based on your needs. The products and ingredients are top-quality; you can find various interpretations of traditional Sicilian desserts and biscuits. The gelato is very good, and I recently discovered sugar-free gelato. The flavors are limited, but it's truly delicious. The granita is delicious, especially the toasted almond one, and the brioche might not be to everyone's taste because it doesn't have the famous "tuppu" (sweetened with sugar) but instead has granulated sugar. Coffee is another strong point of this shop; they use a well-known coffee, the espresso machine is excellent, and the staff are well-trained to make coffee time a special occasion. One delicacy I've eaten among the many is the iris gelato, which combines the crispiness of the fried and hot outside with the sweet and cold inside. A true delight.

Wow what a find. This beautiful and quaint pasticceria was recommended to us during our stay in Giarre and did not disappoint. Plentiful and spacious parking facilities and a lovely shaded area to sit outside to eat the most amazing range of freshly prepared desserts which you can see them making in front of the service counter. There is also warm snacks, grantia choices and the coffee did not disappoint either. A lovely lady / owner assisted us by helping to box up in a lovely presentation box some pasticia delights to bring back as gifts for friends and family too. We wish you continued success and throughly recommend your pasticceria!
