Beautiful place, kind and very professional staff... very good briccico mare... the only flaw was that I asked for a bellini and the waiter explained to me that they don't use fresh peach juice but in a bottle and that he would ask the barman if he could do it to me. I told the waiter that I was fine with the juice too. The waiter came back telling me he couldn't be a barman. I had asked for a fruity non-alcoholic cocktail for the little girl and the barman said no there too. I don't think I asked too much but of the two things asked, not even one seems a bit exaggerated to me.

I have just had my Christmas lunch at Giubbe Rosse and I’m so happy. The set menu was excellent and the service made me feel very special. I am very happy this restaurant is open again. I recommend it highly.

We had delicious pre-dinner bites and cocktails at this charming place on Piazza della Republica. Erika was charming and spent time talking with us. A beautiful environment for a pre-Christmas evening.

Fortunately, after 5 very long years, the Giubbe Rosse café reopens, one of the historic places in the city of Florence and undoubtedly one of the most iconic.
Half frequented by futurists and writers of the magazine Lacerba or della Voce.
It was one of the most important literary cafés in Italy.
Founded in 1897 as Reininghouse alehouses with waiters in red livery as was the fashion of the time.
Since the name was difficult to pronounce, the Florentines called it the café of those with the red jackets, thus renaming the place with a name that has survived to this day.
Coffee a little expensive, €1.6 but it's okay in a place like this.

Historic and well-kept environment, clean and tidy. Professional and kind staff, excellent service.. The pasta with tomato sauce is the best I have eaten in the historic center of Florence.

I came to this place in the centre of the Piazza Repubblica where I was immersed by a warm atmosphere and hospitality by the two lovely ladies Brisilda and Erika. They welcomed me and my Australian friends and family with a smile, elegance and exceptional service! Thank you for making us feel so welcome in a beautiful space and city!

We went for lunch with my husband. Excellent restaurant, spectacular food. Super educated and professional staff. The waiter Pietro who served us is extremely professional and attentive to the customer's needs. Chef Giuseppe really deserves the Michelin star 🌟!!!
