Girasol In Firenze

I don't know if I ended up on the "wrong" evening, but on a Saturday evening I was worried about making a reservation thinking that I wouldn't find a place... instead we arrive, we go in and we don't find anyone at the entrance, then we make ourselves heard and a man comes out who tells us to sit downstairs, nice and colorful environment but infinite sadness.... It was practically empty! Only one table occupied by a couple of guys and then us! Overpriced pizza, disgusting coffee!

Large venue, where you can breathe musical air, 70s/80s/90s themed dance evenings and Latin American music. Multi-ethnic clientele, spacious rooms and bright colours, where the loft of the culinary lounge merges with the bar counter, in perfect harmony. Clean and efficient service, polite staff. The highlight that I want to review is the pizza chef, ANTONIO, who thanks to his majestic art, tempts me by titillating my taste buds with simply delicious simple or gourmet pizzas or the fantastic cuddles stracchino with raw ham and salad and rocket, accompanied after 10.30pm with beautiful music with DJ. I review the pizza because, being of Campania origin, it is my strong dish, so only under torture would I eat anything else. I give the pizzeria a 10 for all its magic, but ANTONIO in gray moments is my favorite culinary refuge, which thanks to the combinations of ingredients, creates masterpieces, for me it is the best in the whole square of Florence, I also give him praise !!!I Without taking anything away from others, as I myself am a pizza eater as the Americans say. The prices are very affordable and for the less wealthy there is THE FORK, yes, well yes, although it does not need advertising it has an agreement with the KING of savings with discounts of up to 50%!!! Nice place a little out of the way from the center but worth it for Caribbean dance enthusiasts.

Really lovely restaurant - friendly staff, great food and really good value. Being slightly out of town was not full of tourists and had a really good atmosphere. Lots for vegetarians too. Highly recommended.
