Best steak we have ever had in our entire life. The artichokes were insanely good and the service was stellar. This is the kind of place you go to twice in one vacation. If we are in Rome again, we will return. Absolutely delicious and charming!

I was in Rome one hour, starving. This place was busy and close to the hotel. The waiters were short with us so I was skeptical and wanted to leave. Omg, I'm so glad I didn't. First GREAT MEAL in Europe. I had the best steak ever with green peppercorns and cream sauce. My husband had veal scallopini with tomato sauce. Delicious. Generous drink pour. Price was so reasonable. It's a must. The waiters were so sweet once we warmed up to them. Go Marco! Imagine chef is so sweet, kind and inclusive. I will never be able to put in word, how much I adore this absolutely fabulous restaurant.
Sooooo delicious, we went back again.
❤️🩷🧡 Best night ever!!!!!!

The food at this restaurant completely exceeded my expectations, so delicious it was unforgettable.
First up was the charcoal-grilled T-bone steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina), cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, juicy, and bursting with natural oil flavor—every bite was satisfying. The portion was also very generous, perfect for two people.
The creamy truffle mushroom risotto was even more amazing. The rice was springy and chewy, the rich cheese and truffle flavors blended perfectly, incredibly fragrant yet not greasy—a classic presentation of authentic Italian cuisine.
The accompanying sautéed spinach was also impressive, refreshing and not oily, retaining the vegetables' natural sweetness and texture—a perfect complement.
Overall, this was a rare and excellent Italian culinary experience. The cooking techniques, the quality of the ingredients, and the flavor combinations were all outstanding. A must-try when you visit!

The food is divine...I recommend the meat...either Florentine steak or rib eye steak.

We stumbled upon it by chance.
A Tuscan restaurant with wonderful meats.
Waiters from another era who contribute to the atmosphere.

A Tuscan restaurant with impeccable food and service. The two of us each ordered two courses, a coffee, and the cooking and quality of the meat were simply outstanding. All for 100 euros, which is very affordable for the quality and service. Thank you again for the wonderful experience.

Il Girarrosto Fiorentino is a Roman institution, a true temple of Tuscan tradition that has stood the test of time since 1966. Located just steps from Via Veneto, it's the ideal place for those seeking solid, unfussy, and top-quality cuisine. The restaurant's identity is clear from the moment you enter: the large, open rotisserie and meat counter promise (and deliver) a first-rate carnivorous experience. The ambiance is classic and elegant, with a retro touch reminiscent of Rome's "Dolce Vita." Wood paneling, impeccable white tablecloths, and warm lighting create an intimate yet professional atmosphere.
Service is "old-fashioned." The waiters are experienced, fast, and know the menu inside out. Don't expect the casual approach of a modern bistro; institutional courtesy reigns supreme here. Il Girarrosto Fiorentino isn't a cheap restaurant. The quality of the ingredients and the central location come at a price. Fiorentina steaks are priced per 100g, so your final bill depends heavily on the size you choose. It's definitely worth trying.

We visit this restaurant every time we come to Rome. It’s a great Tuscan menu with Roman pastas - the best of both worlds…. and the Bistecca Fiorentina is delicious- perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Caprese salad was amazing - perfect tomatoes even in January. Every time we’ve been it’s been a full house. Reservation recommended.
