We had lunch outside. Beautiful location. The food was truly excellent, the service a little slow. The dishes, especially the main courses, were super generous.

I organized a large aperitivo for my daughter's confirmation. Everything was excellent, from the appetizers to the pizza, the fried foods, and the ice cream. Everything was freshly prepared. Thank you, Roberto (manager).

The place is quite casual; any attire is fine.
The service, being run by South Americans, can be complicated because sometimes they don't understand you very well, so you might get something completely different at your table.
The location is beautiful, right on the EUR lake.
Don't expect anything exceptional; the food is average.

I find the one-star reviews excessive. We spent €30 for three for an aperitif with ice cream and fried food. The place has its merits.
I've seen menus elsewhere with pasta dishes for €30. €10 for an evening of conversation in a pleasant place doesn't seem like a rip-off to me. Obviously, the new manager, who took over from the longtime Giolitti, could have been smarter.

The place is historic and still retains a certain charm, even though it likely changed ownership recently. The atmosphere is charming and pleasant, although some aspects are a bit dated and betray the passage of time. Unfortunately, the ice creams aren't the shop's strong point: the flavors are rather bland and lack any particular distinctive characteristics, with overall average quality. Despite this, it's still a good place to stop for a break, especially for those who appreciate a traditional atmosphere.
