Gioja Restaurant in Altamura: although a little out of the city center, it's definitely worth a visit. Impeccable cuisine, with chef Jacopo's experience reflected in every dish on the varied menu, packed with excellent fish and quality meat. Not to mention a vast selection of wines, a perfect match! Attentive and friendly service, with our very own Antonella winning us over with her masterful serving of the Milanese cutlet, sliced ​​and served to order. The presentation was so meticulous, it made your mouth water even before it was served. It's truly a feast for the eyes and the palate! A gastronomic experience worth repeating!

A different cuisine with the desire to offer a valid alternative in the monotonous world of Altamura. Staff attentive to customer needs, excellent raw materials and high quality raw fish (on our request)! Small but welcoming environment where you can sit comfortably without anyone eating you! Recommended!

19/10/2025: So let's proceed in order. Appetizers, first or second course, and dessert. Everything was very good except for the desserts, where we ordered two spumoni (spumoni) but weren't told what flavor (olives) they had, and for us, it was truly inedible. The service was certainly very attentive, but I gave it 4 stars for the price. Nine of us spent €489, with the appetizers alone costing around €22, which honestly isn't justified given that the small pieces were so small and no mozzarella or cured meats arrived. Plus, the desserts were really expensive. As for the food quality, there's nothing to envy.
18/10/2025: It’s an amazing restaurant offerng delicious and fresh Apulian kitchen :) I loved it and went there for my birthday when I was visiting Bari. They offer fresh pasta, sea food, Italian cheese and main dishes, all unique to Apulian kitchen made w local products. I had a glass of white wine w my meal and it was perfect. The wines are local as well. The staff does not English that much but they help a lot in offerng nice selections from the menu. It’s a locally decorated restaurant w Apulian kitchen touches. You historically feel the vibes! In means of pricing, as they are serving quality food, the prices are exactly in line w their service and quality. Highly recommended!

25/08/2025: Divine panzerotti. The puccia is homemade and absolutely worth trying. The staff is friendly and efficient. I recommend booking...it's always packed.
