It's a small shop, but everything was delicious. They have a variety of breads, from a cornet-like pastry made with ingredients wrapped in thin dough, to bread with ham and cheese, to sweet Danish-like pastries. The staff were also very friendly. It's a small shop on a corner of the street so it doesn't stand out, but it had a lovely feel like a bakery in an Italian neighborhood.

Located just steps from the Ponte Vecchio, Gino's Bakery offers a wide variety of sweet and savory treats. A warm welcome and delicious treats, especially the pizza and the Sicilian cannoli. Highly recommended for a quick snack :)

Hands down my favorite bakery in Florence! My Great Grandmother came to America from Naples and use to make all her food from scratch. When I was growing up my mom and aunt found an Italian bakery in Boston that tasted like their grandmother’s cooking and we use to frequent it every time we were in town. This little corner of Florence tasted like home and what I always imagined Italy should taste like all wrapped together. So delicious!

It's seriously delicious. The cannoli looked so delicious that I bought it and it was so delicious that I bought it two days in a row. I especially recommend the Sicilian cannoli. I want to eat it again...

10/02/2026: A very beautiful experience... The signs left by mothers who, when leaving their child, placed half a medal next to him, a figurine cut in half and kept the other half to be able to prove that they were the real mother.
07/02/2026: Where it all began with my great-great-grandfather Angiolo. Born and abandoned in 1854. As a sign of identification, a silk handkerchief with the initials of an Austrian noble family and a half medallion.

Castello di Verrazzano

14/01/2026: A very interesting winery tour. The woman who led the tour (I don't remember her name, but she had red hair) was always very kind and available to answer any questions we had. The wines were very good, and we were also pleasantly surprised by the oil and vinegar. The scenery was splendid. :)
13/01/2026: If you're visiting the area, this is a can't miss. Dan was a great tour through the castle. Wine tasting was excellent. Learned a lot about Chianti and balsamic. And you can order wine that they will ship to your house. Strongly recommend.
