27/05/2026: I was craving a burger, and instead of going to the usual fast food joint, I took a friend's advice and tried a homemade one. Given the wooded area, the late hour, and the proximity to the river, it was a bit unpleasant to find small flies fluttering around, attracted by the light.
Choosing the burgers was difficult; they all looked good, but I finally settled on the Mountain Burger, or something similar. I was intrigued by the combination of caramelized onions and cheese. Since it seemed quite heavy, I removed the eggplant.
The burger turned out to be very generous, with focaccia/pizza instead of the usual bread, which was slightly crunchy and dry.
From the first bite, you could taste the quality of the combination; the onions (I hate them anyway, but I wanted to try them) proved to be a nice touch of flavor that altered the texture of the meat and cheese. The cheddar was generous, perhaps too much for my taste, but you can ask for the ingredients to be adjusted, as I did with the eggplant.
Given the number of repetitive ingredients on the menu, it would be really nice to have an official basic sandwich with customizable ingredients as extras. Personally, I find removing or substituting ingredients a bit disrespectful to the intended sandwich; and it would also be fun to find an unexpected combination of ingredients.
All in all, a real disappointment; next time I'll choose a place where the sandwich isn't as good... 😉.
