We stumbled upon Gimmy Giò almost by chance for lunch and were so delighted that we decided to return for dinner, turning the evening into a special moment.
Lunch was a true treat: a minestrone soup with rice that smelled of home, followed by tender meat pizzaiola with chickpeas and potatoes. A genuine meal that immediately convinced us of the quality of the ingredients.
For dinner, we returned with a dear family friend, who moved to Bucine three years ago with his partner: it was the perfect place to gather around excellent food. We started with a rich appetizer, then moved on to a perfectly cooked grilled meat, served with mixed vegetables, potatoes, and flavorful chickpeas. We finished on a high note with the inevitable cantucci biscuits and Vin Santo, chatting in a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
Michele and his staff were exceptionally welcoming at both times of the day: courtesy, prompt service, and a warm welcome that makes you feel part of the family. If you're looking for authentic Tuscan cuisine in Colle Val d'Elsa, Gimmy Giò is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Intrigued by the fact that this restaurant appeared on an episode of "Cucine da Incubo" (Nightmares in the Kitchen), I was in the area and decided to try it. I must say, the family atmosphere immediately felt, so much so that by the end of the meal, I felt like old friends with Michele (the owner) and his wife, Emanuela. As for the food, I must say I enjoyed everything from the mixed antipasto to the casarecce with pumpkin cream, scamorza, and sausage to the fillet steak in Chianti. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. It's definitely a restaurant I'll gladly return to.
