Seguendo il.consiglio della simpaticissima.Sandra...siamo andati in questo locale...dove abbiamo assaggiato anche alcune specialità che.avevamo appena acquistato. La prova sul campo è passata a pieni voti. Un risotto al Chianti spaziale..secondi ottimi contornati da simpatia e.allegria dei titolari. Ritorneremo volentieri.

Today we went to this nice restaurant after a refreshing swim in the cascades of Colle val d’Elsa. The service and the boss were very nice. Since our son has celiac disease, we asked for gluten-free food… He immediately received gluten-free breadsticks and delicious gluten-free pasta. The pizzas were very, very tasty. The desserts, homemade cake with pears, caramel ice cream and gluten-free PanaCotta with pistachio sauce were also very, very good. We were very satisfied and happy to have taken the short detour to this restaurant. The prices are fair. If we are in the area again, we would definitely stop there again. Thank you…

Welcoming tavern, very kind staff (I thank the lady for giving me a plastic bag to wrap my camera and protect it from the strong storm that suddenly broke out) good food, very affordable prices, unfortunately in my case, the climate had a negative impact on the experience in Colle di Val D'Elsa but lunch certainly toned it all down

Pretty nice team, welcoming. But the food is terrible. We tried pizza and pasta, unfortunately to compare with different places, one of the worst pasta at all

we spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant with a delicious dinner, atmosphere of well-being, joy, laughter... The service was very attentive and friendly.

Worth visiting. Very tasty food, great (big) portions. Maybe the 'primi'(e.g. pasta & risotto) are a tad better than the 'secondi' (e.g. meat), but everything is good. Very friendly staff & owner. Not expensive.

We were staying nearby in Strove, and the owners of the Airbnb we rented recommended we visit the historical part of Colle di Val d'Elsa. I searched for restaurants in the area and based on the great reviews, decided to try Gimmy Gio's. So glad we did! The only hitch was that we parked in the old part at the top of the hill, planning to explore a bit and realized that Gimmy Gio was at the bottom. While the very steep hill was a great way to burn off some of our dinner, anyone with limited mobility would want to park nearer to avoid it. The restaurant was charming, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! Our group (including kids ages 13 - 19) tried several different dishes (a few duplicates) - everyone enjoyed their meal. A big bonus was that cost of our meal was also very reasonable. The risotto con asparagi was AMAZING, perfectly creamy and delicious. The gnocchi al pesto do pisctacchi was very good - also perfectly creamy with a subtle pistachio flavor and a light chopped pistachios garnish on top. One of our group who isn't very adventurous ordered the pollo arroste con patate (grilled chix and fries), while a little more basic than the rest of our meals, it was exactly what he was looking for and thought it was very good. While the person who ordered the pizza diavola thought it was good, he had a little food envy given the rest of our meals. The pici cacio e pepe con briciole - the pici pasta known for in the region (a thick hand rolled pasta similar to a thick spaghetti) - was also very good!

Fantastic restaurant, the food is high quality and reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and I can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10
