02/12/2025: I don't usually respond to defamation, but rereading the latest reviews leaves me shocked... made by a single table with the aim of casting mud on a cuisine that is anything but mediocre. There's nothing frozen. It's very simple cuisine, but it's made with fresh ingredients. I wanted to advise those who write reviews that if they didn't like the service, or if the bill was too expensive for you (in which case, don't come to Portofino for service in the piazzetta, but go to Busalla under a chimney), you're right, but don't blame the food. I can intervene with the waiter... Sometimes it's the customer who mistreats the establishment and the waiter... and then gets too upset by writing lies... In my twenty years of experience, I've learned one thing: if a waiter isn't adequate, or the bill is expensive, the customer blames the kitchen. If the waiter smiles and sells something that isn't good, the customer praises the entire establishment... poor Portofino... be more objective and honest. I miss the good old days when Portofino was a destination for education... and yet today we in the Piazzetta have to deal with people who destroy your bathroom and then complain that it's dirty, stand on the cushions, and then complain and write things that don't correspond to reality just because you asked them to show respect for a place that isn't their home... who come at Easter, one of the busiest days of the season, after waiting in line for hours, expect not to have to wait in the PIAZZETTA and to be served immediately, complaining about slow service... Be more honest, objective, and sincere. Thank you.

25/10/2025: Really liked the place, the people were very nice and you are right by the sea. I would recommend! They had great gluten free pizza and pasta.
