We stopped here after a hike down the valley. We had a drink and a bite to eat. The Strauben was delicious! The staff were kind and friendly!

Recently voted South Tyrol's most popular alpine hut for 2025. It can be reached either via the cable car in Reinswald and a short hike, or entirely on foot via one of the excellent and well-marked hiking trails. The Urlesteig trail is highly recommended; it takes about two hours. The hut itself is idyllic, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the food is exceptionally delicious.

05/02/2026: Delicious food. Finger-licking ribs, delicious lasagna, authentic Italian style, and excellent pizza. The house wine was excellent. Great service, great atmosphere. Luckily, they don't charge extra. I highly recommend it, and we're going again today.
05/02/2026: We ate here three times during our week-long vacation. All the dishes were excellent (tagliata, pasta with venison ragout, spare ribs, etc.). The service was very attentive and friendly. We especially appreciated the chef's flexibility regarding specially prepared vegan dishes. The "ravioli with celery and mushroom filling" was also a big hit with the non-vegans.
