Geranio Food and Drink In Noto

16/09/2025: Dinner at this restaurant right in the city center. We had a chef's appetizer with six small dishes, and two main courses, including a mixed fried fish and tuna alla matalotta. The appetizers featured lots of onion and not much fish; the fried food was good, but objectively limited, and the tuna was good and plentiful. Overall, for the price and the food, I wouldn't recommend this place!

15/09/2025: The seating outside is very close together. Only one waiter takes orders, while seven others stand around idly. The white wine arrived warm, the cooler only had water, and we had to order extra ice cubes. The salad came without dressing, as is typical in Italy. We then ordered olive oil and assumed that vinegar, pepper, and salt would also be served. But we had to order everything separately. Symptomatic of the bored, uninspired service. The insalata mista consisted solely of iceberg lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes. Bread only came when requested. Pizza was OK, but the fish antipasto and linguine marinara were nothing special. The dishes weren't served at the same time. Fairly inexpensive, but still rather disappointing for us. Unfortunately, we were fooled by the fact that this was the busiest place.
