Please do yourself a favour while visiting Savoca, and walk down the hill to Gelso Nero. You will experience an incredible view, taste delicious homemade pasta, and wonderful desserts. A hidden gem!

We visited twice during our short stay. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and simply passionate about what we were served. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything we tried was perfect and very finely seasoned. The wine was fantastic, and for dessert we had passito – a dessert wine made from dried grapes. So delicious! We would recommend Gelso Nero to everyone. Beforehand, we took a lovely walk around picturesque Savoca…

Excellent food and wine recommendations, very attentive and very friendly.
The food was simply fantastic, top quality. Very good wines.
All in all, we were completely satisfied and delighted.

We booked a table for 7 on 7th June with Giovanni, waiter and sommelier. Giovanni and Francesco were extremely friendly and accommodating. Giovanni's knowledge of wines most helpful. We had Quater Vitis Rosso and Diamante Bianco to accompany our food choices. Food excellent quality and served in a timely manner. Professionally presented. You pay for the quality of food and wines.
All in all a very enjoyable evening in a wonderful location. I did manage to thank the female Head Cook on our way out, who was very appreciative!
