If I could give it six stars, I would. I live in Turin, and every time I'm back in the area, I rush to Gelsomino di Mortara for sushi—in my opinion, it's the absolute best.

13/09/2025: Excellent little restaurant, found thanks to google maps ( yet again) I enjoyed my delicious food,and local wine. Steak especially recommended. As I am cycling south through Italy I discussed bikes with the super friendly owner.
22/07/2025: The owner was very kind. The appetizer and tartare were excellent. We'll be back.

Tigella bella Pavia

08/01/2026: The food is excellent, the staff are super helpful and the tigelle/fried gnocco are delicious, I could eat tons of them.
05/01/2026: While roaming the beautiful streets of Pavia tired and hungry from the breathtaking sightseeing, we stumbled upon this unique experience. Despite our many travels to Italy, this was the first time we tried the famous tigella! We really enjoyed trying a variety of local cheeses and cold cuts. We were also surprised with the great variety of German beers on offer. The service was attentive and the prices were reasonable.
