Gelmetti 1952 In Milano

Discovered this place a couple of days ago. They offer a wide selection of seafood dishes. We tried the baccalà mantecato, fish and chips, and fritto misto. Portions aren’t huge, but they’re decent. Prices are fair for Milan. We opted for takeaway this time, but next time, we’d love to dine in.

The tuna steak I got on the chef's recommendation was very good. The tuna was fresh and the fried fish was also very good. Friendly and welcoming staff. Even the prices are not exorbitant and this is written by someone who lives in Bologna and knows how expensive eating fish is. Excellent experience

Con mi colega de China almorzamos en Gelmetti. El joven y apasionado propietario nos ayudó personalmente. La calidad y el sabor del pescado pedido era muy bueno y realmente disfrutamos. Mi colega chino (que es exigente con honores) regresó al día siguiente para tomar otro almuerzo. ¡Nos vemos la próxima vez que estemos en Milán de nuevo!

Excellent idea to taste the products of one of the best fishmongers in Milan, masterfully prepared by chef Giorgio, all delicious!

Splendid evening with a wide variety of fish (breaded prawns, cod fritters, octopus salad, caciucco, salmon on a bed of celery, stuffed squid rings and various Venetian specialities), masterfully prepared by chef Giorgio who, from time to time, he amiably approached our table to have a chat. Traditional Venetian preparations are particularly appreciated (sardee in saor, creamed cod on a bed of polenta and others). All washed down with an excellent bottle of nice cold prosecco just the way I like it. I will be back and will definitely take advantage of the takeaway option.

Business lunch: dish of the day, a truly rich and tasty paella. Then I got crab claws. Excellent food and friendly staff. The only thing that penalizes it is the few and narrow seats both inside and outside. They deserve much more space for the tables given the quality of the service. The branded water carton is a touch of class 👏
