Surfer Joe's restaurant is located on Livorno's picturesque Terrazza Mascagni, in a prime location with a high tourist traffic and stunning landscape. In an urgent situation, my wife and I stopped in for a quick meal, politely informing the staff that we needed a quick meal and that we would not be using the tables. Despite the request being clearly and politely expressed, the response we received was unfortunately unwelcoming and surly, demonstrating a customer service approach that falls short of the standards expected of a business open to the public. It's understandable that the high traffic and operational stress may impact the staff's attitude, however, we hope for an improvement in the quality of communication and hospitality, aspects as crucial as the food offerings, especially in such a prominent and iconic location for the city.

Very suitable venue for garage concerts

We went here for a hot drink. The place is very nice, clean, and welcoming, and everyone is very kind. The desserts are very good, especially the apple pie.

I stopped in for a coffee and was very satisfied. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The outdoor seating was much appreciated. If you plan to go, I recommend making a reservation, especially during peak hours. The only flaw I found was the bathroom: it's in very poor condition and could definitely be improved to make the overall experience a positive one. Overall, it's recommended for a quick break or breakfast, but I hope they fix the restrooms soon.

An exceptional brunch. We had eggs and bacon on bread, pancakes, and a toasted sandwich with coffee and juice. Everything was truly excellent and the portions were generous. Highly recommended!!!
