Gelateria Mastro Cianuri In Perugia

Il gelato piú buono di Perugia. Consiglio però di prendere lo yogurt gelato e in periodo estivo granite...............

It confirms itself as an excellent ice cream shop, one of the best in Perugia. I recommend medium ice cream at €3.50.

My hotel was next to the train station and I was walking down from the Old Town. This gelateria turned out to be on the way to the train station. Although it was already half past ten, surprisingly, life in the gelateria was in full swing. Perugians love sweets at any time of the day. And nights... Locals rest here, because the place is not too touristy, tourists can only get in the same way as me. The staff is very friendly. It feels like people have known each other for a long time. The range of ice cream is wide. The quality of the ice cream is excellent. It would be strange if it were otherwise...

I had already had the chance to taste Mastro Cianuri's excellent ice cream in the ice cream shop in the center and during a beautiful edition of Eurochocolate (I will never forget that chocolate ice cream with extra virgin olive oil😍); I therefore went to the headquarters in via Ruggero without fail. The place is convenient for finding parking, having a supermarket next to it, but the area is not touristy and therefore not nice for a walk. The place is bright, with tables outside and inside. The welcome isn't great, but this often happens in Perugia, but the ice cream is really excellent and makes up for the smiles and unexpressed "good afternoon". The cost of a small ice cream is €3 (note that the cream is paid separately). For tourists: I recommend the ice cream shop in the center in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti (possibility of paid parking at the Saba covered market or you can get there with the minimetro from via Oberdan) once there any road that goes up in front of you (ice cream shop behind) will take you to Corso Vannucci or if you go down via Alessi you will then find yourself on the "via degli artists", i.e. via della Viola.

Simply delicious....balanced taste in the choice of pairings, right amount of sugar, in short, worth trying.
