Amazing gelato! Friendly service and lots of yummy flavours to try. The salted caramel is the best. €3.50 for 3 flavours! A few tables to sit outside. Very nice place!

The best ice cream I have eaten in Rome, and look, I tried a lot of different ice cream shops and recommendations from friends, but for me this was the best. Also very good price and very friendly employee.

The best ice cream shop in Pigneto and the other unit in Repubblica, certainly the best in Rome with many different flavors and quality raw materials. Carla is cute and friendly as are the guys who work with her. For me it is number one ever!!! And I know about ice cream shops because I'm a huge ice cream fan! 🥰

The best ice cream I've ever tasted! The flavors are incredibly natural and authentic, even the honeydew melon – a variety that is difficult to produce without seeming artificial. The staff are also very friendly and let you try many different varieties.

While staying in Rome I naturally had many servings of gelato. This one was the absolute best place to get gelato! We kept coming back for more. Decent price, good location and they had lots of flavors!

11/02/2025: I have been to Scacco Matto for various occasions, breakfast, lunch and dinner. On all these occasions, I have found nothing to complain about but rather, only positive aspects of this place. First of all, it must be underlined that it is a bar/tobacconist/restaurant, so you can help yourself in any case. Excellent choice at breakfast of numerous pastries, fresh croissants, excellent cappuccino too. At lunch, during the week, the menu becomes smaller - no pizza - but equally qualitative. The amatriciana was really excellent and the side dishes equally rich. At dinner, the pizza is to be praised. I have never eaten such a light and tasty pizza, even using wholemeal dough if desired. The menu is full of special pizzas, which are unique and must all be tried. I would also like to applaud the staff, who are extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are medium high, but the quality you pay for is excellent value for money.
10/02/2025: The only thing to say is go there and you will see with your eyes and all your other senses. Let them advise you and you will have a fantastic experience
