I went for the cannolo, truly wonderful, crispy and freshly filled, and took it home. I found the pistachio gelato a little sweet. A good gelateria in Rome.

Absolutely fantastic gelato! The pistachio was the best I have ever had—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The milk chocolate was also excellent, smooth and perfectly balanced. Friendly service and a great selection of flavors made the experience even better. Definitely a must-visit for gelato lovers!

A good ice cream place with very unique flavors.
Better than most average ice cream places in Rome but I would not consider the best.
It hard to choose a good ice cream place by reading Google reviews as mots of the people they write are used just to very industrialized ice cream. So any "gelato artigianale" seems to be the best for them.

Super creamy ice cream. The white chocolate ice cream is absolutely amazing! The flavor is truly intense!

I know Carla, and I can say she puts her heart and soul into making her artisanal gelato, and above all, the quality is truly top-notch. The ingredients are carefully selected, and the sugar content is very moderate and natural. The gelato at Il Capriccio di Carla is undoubtedly delicious, but it's not bad for you; it's truly natural. It's definitely worth a try, even if you're just passing through Rome. There's always a small line, but it's worth it.
