Gastaldia d'Antro In Pulfero

I went there for Christmas lunch, after not going there for a long time, I was pleasantly surprised. Even if the restaurant is not located right on the state road that leads from Cividale to Slovenia, it is absolutely worth making the small detour to try the place. The place is suggestive as it is at the foot of the steps that lead to the Grotta d'Antro and offers a beautiful view of the Natisone valley which can be admired from the car park as soon as you arrive. Parking largely sufficient for the needs of the venue; it is possible to park either near the church which is located a few dozen meters above the restaurant and then go down the carved stone staircases, or bring the car a few meters from the entrance. In any case it is necessary to climb a few steps so it is not too convenient for any customers in wheelchairs even if accompanied. The staircases and sculpted stone walls are very beautiful and well kept. The place is not particularly elegant and has a rustic but particular style, well-ordered and clean, where the available spaces seem to be made the most of, making it possible to comfortably accommodate, in my opinion, 30-40 comfortable seats without the guests finding themselves crowded together. The tables are distributed in three separate rooms with sufficiently large spaces between one table and another to guarantee tranquility and privacy for guests. Peaceful and quiet environment that invites you to calmly savor the local specialties on offer, many of which are made with local products. Dishes with a non-high school presentation but still refined, non-trivial, tasty, balanced and delicate which somehow go well with the style of the restaurant. Portions that are not small and not exaggerated allow you to enjoy enjoying all the dishes offered. I found the proposed fruit skewer a nice idea and the typical boiled strucchi offered at the end by the house were pleasant. The service is good, not professional but attentive and manages to maintain the right pace between the various courses, allowing you to enjoy the dishes calmly but without waiting too long for the next course even when the place is full. Friendly staff who try to satisfy the customer's requests as best as possible. Average price for a Christmas menu. In my opinion a great place for a relaxing, pleasant and private lunch.

Delicious little place, both in terms of the dishes and the welcome. Their aubergine parmigiana is sublime: but to taste it it is best to call and make a reservation. The place is small, they only work with their own production, they are a real farm.

Welcoming place, friendly staff, local dishes revisited with aromatic herbs (for example lavender), probably to stand out from the crowd, a symbiosis that didn't impress my palate, high price compared to the quantity on the plate

A little jewel set in the Natisone Valleys

A very particular place, characteristic, intimate, and welcoming even if a little *rustic*, beautiful flowers. Both inside and outside there are works in worked stone, sculpted wood, frescoes created by the owner (and a friend of his)... the food is very good (I took strips of scottona with the scent of lavender and wild fennel accompanied by cooked and pickled vegetables. Then a cream ice cream with mixed preserved fruit and other slightly cooked and I think a little caramelised...AMAZING)...All very genuine and tasty!!!

Amazing restaurant with delicious high quality vegetarian dishes also available. Very friendly owner and staff, they welcome dogs as well. Highly recommend this unique place in a beautiful area in the hills. We will definitely come back!
