Berthe Morisot exhibition unmissable for lovers of impressionism and beyond. If you go to Turin by train you can take advantage of a discount on the ticket.

A wonderful location, a surprisingly rich artistic collection.
Too bad for the sloppiness of the organization.
The bar, despite a constant flow of visitors, has been closed since before COVID and they still haven't managed to get it reopened...
Almost all the staff are resigned and annoyed.
At the reception you queue outside without any information if the queue is only for those who don't yet have a ticket, if the queue is unique for the permanent collection and for temporary exhibitions, also because the only employee is at the I start to play the role of traffic light, but there is no one at the bottom..

Beautiful interventions of the morisot installation.
Inadequate price for a single exhibition and for disabled people.

A surprise, I thought I would spend an hour there but instead I remained glued to the works for over 4 and a half hours... I didn't want to leave!
I went for the exhibition on the impressionist Berthe Morisot (5 stars for that alone), but I also took the opportunity to see those of Mary Heilmann and Maria Morganti. I admit that I didn't know them, and I was very happy, especially with Morganti's exhibition, which also received 5 stars.
I purchased the audio guide, which was useful and saved me from having to read each sign, while also providing valuable additions that allowed me to better enjoy the exhibits.
I only found out late that there were free cloakroom lockers, unfortunately I wasn't told and I carried my jacket around for nothing, but still very useful to be able to store luggage or jackets to better enjoy the experience.
I close by saying that in general I am not passionate about abstract art, yet I came away with the books of all three exhibitions (and not just Morisot) because I was fascinated by them.
Congratulations for the care taken in setting up the exhibitions, and for choosing to bring three women and great artists to the general public.

All nice but...I bought a bookmark pen in the museum shop to give as a Christmas gift, and surprise, at a cost of 7.50 the pen doesn't write!!! What a figure!!! 😠

Both the impromptu exhibitions (in this period Berthe Morisot, impressionist painter) and the permanent collections (in which modern art obviously prevails) are splendid. Interesting workshops for students of all ages and guided tours for children too.

Not just a museum, but a journey of art in movement.

Personally, I had too high expectations. A few truly unmissable pieces interspersed with many fairly forgettable pieces. I also found the proposed route confusing and not very logical. The modern Ca' Foscari gallery in Venice is beautiful, but much better
