We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Excellent dishes and at more than reasonable prices. Pleasant staff ready to explain the dishes in detail. A pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.

After days spent on tuna and olive sandwiches (very good, of course) we finally treat ourselves to a real meal, at the beginning of the Jewish quarter, a super welcoming little restaurant where we felt at home. Very kind service, exquisite dishes and "great prices" (the restaurant knows this and rightly prides itself on it). Sardines in sauce, couscous for two, latkes, quarter of wine, water and coffee: 52 euros. Everything perfect!!

After days spent on spritz and cicchetti, finally a real meal, in a quiet and restful environment in this cold Venice in January. And what a meal! The menu is very refined and full of alternatives, including both traditional Jewish dishes and more "national" dishes, without being annoyingly excessive in the offering, with decidedly competitive prices, which is no small thing considering that we are in Venice. The sardines in saor were exquisite, as were the couscous and the house wine. I couldn't stop myself from peeking at the dishes on the tables next to me, and it all looked very, very good. One of the few places in Venice where I would happily eat again. Thank you!!!

This kosher restaurant in the heart of the Venice Jewish Ghetto is everything one could hope for. Intrigued, I had never tried this cuisine, which more than met expectations. Friendly staff who explained each course in detail. I will definitely try this cuisine again, and I recommend it. Gam Gam restaurant passed with flying colors. Better than some Italian restaurants in Venice!!!

Wow. That’s all I can say. We ate at Gam Gam a total of 6 times while we were in Venice. Yes, you read that right. 6 times. We didn’t tire of the delicious food and the wait staff went above and beyond to help make us feel comfortable. Marco and Francesco went above and beyond with their service. The restaurants in Italy, in general, are fantastic, but Gam Gam is a restaurant that stands out as one of the best. Thank you!

If what I'm going to say shows a lack of understanding of kosher food, then so be it.... We happened to walk past one day and were attracted by the menu, so made a booking for a couple of days later Friendly place, choice of table. Felt somewhat amateur - eg drinks verbal rather than a printed list Pip had "spicy skillet sizzling chicken..." (or something like), me the Schnitzel, plus a shared lakta and a couple of drinks. Pip's chicken wasn't sizzling, the spicing was lacking, and there was no skillet. In fact it gave the distinct impression of having been pre-prepared and stored/held. The accompanying sesame (?) sauce was tasty, but not much of it. My schnitzel was workaday, came with a dollop of tomato ketchup. Both dishes had a pile of undressed/unsauced slaw - carrot, cabbage, that sort of thing - which being undressed was a right pain to eat. The potato latka nice and crispy outside, very dense inside. All in all something of a disappointment

On y revient avec plaisir pour la bonne cuisine variée, l'accueil très sympathique et l'emplacement calme le long du canal. Bref nous reviendrons une troisième fois.
