06/07/2026: The food was very good, especially the risotto. The pasta with clams was also well-prepared, although the wine was still a bit too strong for our taste.
The real problem, however, was another: the restaurant didn't have air conditioning, and we weren't told this when we entered and sat down. In fact, as soon as we arrived, we asked if there was air conditioning and were told to take a seat, without informing us that the restaurant didn't have it.
During lunch, we repeatedly asked for an explanation. Initially, we were told to be patient and that they would speak to the manager, but no one ever clearly told us that there wasn't any air conditioning. Only after several requests did the owner intervene, explaining that the restaurant didn't have air conditioning.
We were also told that there were "external fans" on the terrace. From this description, one would expect large, effective terrace fans. In reality, they were just two simple pedestal fans, positioned at the corners of the terrace, completely inadequate to cool about ten tables.
Unfortunately, we had a very uncomfortable lunch due to the heat. If we had been told from the start that the restaurant wasn't air-conditioned, we never would have sat down. We believe that greater transparency with our customers is essential, as it allows everyone to make an informed choice.
06/07/2026: Passing through Trieste, 10 years after our first visit, we decided to stop at this trattoria again. A casual restaurant, suitable for everyone, with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent mixed antipasto, amazing scampi and truffle gnocchi, and high-quality fried food. A guarantee!
