Fuoco Matto In Firenze

A wonderful discovery during our stay in Florence. A big thank you to Giovanni for his service and kindness. The dishes are excellent; I highly recommend them!

Dinner: Excellent service (attentive and with a smile), excellent food (Risotto to die for, perfect pizza), excellent desserts, Montepulciano is very good. Thank you for this moment, we loved it!

Lunchtime, the first Monday in August. I arrive without a reservation and am greeted without any problems. The place is packed. In no time, I'm seated with my daughter and her friend. The staff is all kind and welcoming; dynamic, smiling, and even on the same wavelength; it shows. A more than pleasant and positive environment for lunch (I'll be back for dinner). The food is good, well-prepared, and quick, with a meat main course and side dishes of mixed vegetables and potatoes. The attentive, fast but not intrusive service. The pizzas exceeded expectations, well-made and well-topped. The wine selection is good and extensive; I ordered a glass of Austrian Orange, which was very satisfying and drinkable, low in alcohol and juicy. Plenty of water and coffee are also available. The menu and wine list prices are more than reasonable, not at all outrageous for such a well-kept establishment in the heart of the city.

The baratta e nduja pizza was one of the best pizza's I've ever had - along with a Amber Rozza Gabriel birra, it was to bloody die for. Love this place. Fantastic service and atmosphere as well.

Went to this place after reading some Google reviews so we could try the traditional Bistecca alla Fiorentina and to be honest was slightly disappointed. We asked for a 1.2kg portion (which is the minimum) and about 15mins after we ordered a waitress came over to our table with a cut of meat saying we’ve cut you a 1.4kg piece is that ok? We said we asked for 1.2kg and she seemed quite dismissive, so we felt we had no choice but to accept it and when you’re paying per kg it adds up. We waited 30mins for it to be cooked and had asked for medium but it came out medium rare. Wasn’t overly impressed with the taste either. I’ve had better steaks from the supermarket at home. I think their pizzas looked good, but didn’t try those so can’t comment. It was a pleasant experience overall but I wouldn’t go back there if I was in Florence again.

Bella location, vicina alla stazione. Servizio ottimo, con menzione particolare per il ragazzo calabrese (di cui non ricordo il nome). Ottima la qualità degli ingredienti, per i miei gusti però la pizza l’ho trovata slegata con impasto nella media.
