It's a small bar with an indoor dining area and a few tables outside for drinks and a bite to eat. It's located on the beautiful Lagonegro road, which leads to the sea through small, lush mountains. After leaving the Salerno-Reggio area, you take this road to reach the seaside towns. The bar offers excellent sandwiches with Calabrian schiacciata and cheese. For me, it's an almost obligatory stop when I'm on vacation in Calabria.

For us, it's a family tradition, started by my Uncle Angelo about 50 years ago. Every time we need to reach Sangineto (CS), it's our go-to stop for a great sandwich, just like it used to be. Our favorite is Capocollo with Provola. I recommend everyone to stop by. Take the Lagonegro Nord exit, heading towards Martedì. After about 4 km, you'll arrive at GAGLIARDI, which is very convenient on your right.

Excellent local products. The owners are very friendly. It's worth stopping for a sandwich or to pick up some good cured meats and cheeses, especially for a quick and simple meal.

The sausage and grilled caciocavallo sandwich is spectacular. The staff is friendly. Stop here!
