My family and I were out for a walk. We wanted something simple and we stumbled upon this restaurant. The seating was compact and comfortable along the sidewalk. The food was delicious and tasty.

Recommended. We went to eat during the feast of the Holy Martyrs... what can I say? Everything was wonderful! We had the fried fish and the fried vegetables... top notch, guys!!!! Excellent! Daniela and Manuel!

We found it by chance, but we immediately knew it was the right place. And confirmation came with the Italian fried food and fried fish, with Agricola beer. Great price, and the owner who welcomed us was a kind professional. Great!!!!

We arrived at 10:30 PM on a very crowded Saturday night in Otranto, and La Matta was a delicious refuge. Fried fish, pittule, and croquettes were worthy of the name. Fast and friendly service. We'll be back!

Passing through one of Otranto's main streets, we stopped for a tasty break...what can I say? Everything was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind...the zucchini flowers were delicious! I'll definitely be back.

26/08/2025: Excellent ice cream, vegan option for those who are lactose intolerant.
21/08/2025: Gelato with a good variety of flavors, from the more "porky" and unique to those with seasonal fruit. I had the latter, and what can I say? You could taste the authentic flavor of the real fruit. The prickly pear was superb. I also like the texture, silky and melts just right. I'll be back.

25/06/2025: I tasted small pastries and I must honestly say that I have eaten better, the pasticciotto instead of level. More than anything I appreciate the commitment to offer gluten-free products, the great variety and above all the extreme kindness of the staff who is the focal point of everything.
