17/05/2025: At Braceria Caputi in Toritto, what is consumed is not just meat: it is a ritual. An ancient offering, which goes beyond nourishment and becomes a gesture of love. Here, among the scents of the embers and the warmth of the room, a silent liturgy takes place, where every bite is a memory, and every flavor holds a story. And at the center of it all is Franco.
Franco is not just the host. He is the guardian of a knowledge that is not taught, but passed down from the heart. He knows our desires before we formulate them; he reads us with the gaze of someone who has understood that eating together is a sacred act, and that welcoming is already loving. His voice, his step, the way he offers us the plate: everything is a caress, everything is presence.
When we say that "meat meets love", we are not talking about cooking. We are talking about true love, the kind that is expressed in the details, in patient dedication, in wanting the good of the other without conditions. It is the love found in authentic places, where people still believe that food is a gift and not a commodity, and that time spent together is more valuable than any recipe.
And then, sitting there, with the wine that warms the words and the meat that smells of childhood, you have the certainty that happiness, sometimes, is a table set with love. Perfect not for the form, but for the soul that flows within it. Because Franco, deep down, reminds us of something forgotten: that taking care is the first verb of love. And that there are still places where you can be loved, simply, because you have arrived.
10/05/2025: Extremely high prices, 2 of us paid almost 70 euros without having taken starters, desserts or wine! With only meat without exaggerating, in fact we didn't even leave the place full, such a price is not justified! The quality of the meat was good but I think they did some suspicious maneuvers when weighing the meat, weighing saucers and everything. I have eaten equally good meat in other places paying less than half!!
I won't go back!!
