At the Cavallino it feels like being at home, with a touch of quality: welcoming atmosphere, excellent cured meats freshly sliced ​​by the legendary Renzo and delicious frico (I tried the one with figs)!

Andati una volta, ci abbiamo provato una seconda senza prenotazione e non c’era più posto. Per sottolineare che se ci torni ti sei trovato bene. Cucina friulana con prodotti tipici. Notevole.

Da fuori non si percepisce l'eccezionalità del sito. Il FRICO alla sua più alta espressione, in un infinità di modi : sempre espresso !!! La carne e gli affettati di ottima qualità ! Il prosecco non consigliabile (strano per questi posti). Rapporto qualità / prezzo ottimale !!! Fermatevi se siete in zona ! Merita !!

28/11/2024: Nice tavern in the center of Cividale. We shared an appetizer between 2, my husband then had a fish first course (with sea urchins) and I a sea bass fillet with potatoes. All accompanied by 2 glasses. Decent quality but not particularly noteworthy. Unfortunately the wait between the starter and the subsequent courses exceeded 60 minutes, an infinite and unjustified time. Overall, the bill which exceeded 100 euros I consider it too expensive for what was offered.
29/10/2024: A very nice restaurant. The owners serve themselves. They are very friendly. There are only fish dishes. Spaghetti with grated fish rye was very good. Branzino was a bit dry but also good. We were satisfied.

09/08/2024: A very particular place, characteristic, intimate, and welcoming even if a little *rustic*, beautiful flowers. Both inside and outside there are works in worked stone, sculpted wood, frescoes created by the owner (and a friend of his)... the food is very good (I took strips of scottona with the scent of lavender and wild fennel accompanied by cooked and pickled vegetables. Then a cream ice cream with mixed preserved fruit and other slightly cooked and I think a little caramelised...AMAZING)...All very genuine and tasty!!!
