Fratelli Rosso is deservedly one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Baveno. Whether it's the service, ambiance, drinks, or food, everything is just perfect here. I especially recommend the Bagna Cauda 😉

The restaurant is located in a small alley and makes an exclusive impression right from the start. We were initially turned away during peak time (around 8 p.m.) because the restaurant was full. Seats became available shortly afterward. The staff is very quick and friendly. The menu is very straightforward. We had the polpette and fregola. Unfortunately, neither was particularly special, and we've had much better. The price was unreasonable in this regard, as we paid €18 for three meatballs with bread.

Highly recommend Fratelli Rosso dal 1981 which is located in beautiful Lake Maggiore Italy!! Their food is great, their wine selection is very broad with many great varietals, and the restaurant is located in a quaint area of town. Lisa was very, very helpful providing their menu and setting up our reservation via Messenger while we were in the U.S! Reminder, they do not open till 6:30. Thank you!

Ristorante con pochi tavoli ma con un servizio perfetto,personale disponibile e gentile,tutto buono dagli antipasti ai secondi,ottimo il dolce a forma di sigaro accompagnato da un buon rum Consigliato

El hecho de que está fuera de la calle principal a lo largo del lago Maggiore, pero se ha mantenido en el negocio durante tanto tiempo, lo dice todo. Lo descubrí por accidente cuando buscaba un lugar para cenar. El personal era muy amable y muy profesional. La comida era genial! Vinos de buena calidad disponibles y todo fue preparado por expertos. Volveré allí de nuevo si estoy en Bavena.

18/07/2025: It was a very pleasant surprise. I had the distinct feeling of having met someone driven by a sincere passion for what they do, and in my opinion, that's no small thing. The dishes are uncommon, quite sophisticated but affordable even for someone like me. The person is very pleasant, both in terms of service and conversation, never intrusive. With my wife: two tasting menus (3 courses) with a bottle of wine and water, two coffees, €100—rarely spent so willingly.

After coming to Barabba, I only want to visit restaurants in no need of a menu, where the offering is fresh, inspired, and not constrained or predicted merely by what you’ve encountered before. The thinly sliced manzo + zucchine pate in particular was delightful, and may have changed my mind/palate on those pastrami sandwiches from back home (NY) ☺️ This is what a restaurant experience should be - an unfussy but elevated time for you to be reacquainted with how delicious and nourishing dining should be.

01/06/2025: I have just been to La Zucca restaurant in Arola and I have to say it was a delightful experience! The place is welcoming and warm, with an atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. The food was simply excellent, with a variety of dishes that will surely satisfy all tastes. But what really made the difference was the cheese and dessert trolley, which was simply exquisite! A real treat for cheese and dessert lovers. The service was friendly and professional, with staff who were very attentive to the needs of the customers. I would highly recommend La Zucca in Arola to anyone looking for a high quality culinary experience in a welcoming and pleasant environment.
