Excellent food and friendly, professional service. We shared an appetizer between four of us (very good cold cuts and cheeses) and then had pork shank (delicious) and dumplings.
A very positive experience, even the bread was excellent!!! The bill was reasonable and affordable (€30 per person).

We went there as part of our vacation. The selection was extensive, from traditional dishes to pasta, meat, and fish. That evening, we opted for Schlutzkrapfen (a kind of fried doughnut), pasta (super delicious!!), meat, and fish. Everything was delicious, and the portions were large enough for our appetites. The service was also very attentive and friendly. We would gladly return anytime.

A wonderful and atmospheric spot in the center of Bolzano. We really appreciated that they accept reservations. The menu leans a bit toward the Italian side, but also features seasonal dishes with chanterelles and South Tyrolean specialties. The chanterelle risotto was outstanding — truly a highlight of the evening. Service was warm and personal, and the wine list is excellent, with staff giving thoughtful recommendations. We loved the evening atmosphere: as it got dark, the cozy outdoor seating with warm light felt magical.

Franziskanerstuben is an elegant trattoria in Bolzano's historic center, serving traditional South Tyrolean dishes made with regional ingredients: dumplings, roasts, and homemade strudel, accompanied by friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are mid-range to high, slightly above average for Bolzano, but generally considered appropriate for the quality. The dining rooms can get crowded, especially on weekends or during events, which can affect noise and service times slightly.
