It's called Frangente because the chef is a surfer from Romagna. You'll find plenty of references, even how the napkins are folded. Excellent service, equally superb food. The kitchen is open, but there's no residual odor, so don't worry. It's best to book. Try the cutlet. You'll be surprised... it's not your average cutlet... it's something else! They pay great attention to detail.

A mixed experience that left me literally hungry for more. The dishes were good but the service was below average. They forgot two of our dishes from our order, after an extremely long wait, over an hour to be served. They shouldn't have so many tables if the kitchen can't keep up. I'll admit I was disappointed, but perhaps my expectations were too high given the glowing reviews.

It's hard to find true excellence. Dishes are carefully prepared, but not to my taste. The preparation time is too long. (40 minutes between ordering and serving) The atmosphere is beautiful and well-kept. The service is good, but not excellent. The prices are high. I understand it's primarily a seafood restaurant, but not having a vegan option these days is already out of date.

There are places that go unnoticed, where you sit down, eat, pay, and leave. Absolutely perfect, it always depends on what you're looking for. Then there are places that, instead, swoop in and you take them with you for all the beauty they offer. This is what I experienced at Frangente: an unexpected discovery that makes you breathe a sigh of relief in a city where everyone competes to see who's more hipster. Authentic, tasty dishes, satisfying to the palate and to the eye. Attentive, polite, punctual, and never intrusive service. The synchronicity in the kitchen was textbook; everyone knew what they were doing without anyone having to say anything (admirable, considering the kitchen is open, and the buzz can often bother the customer). What can I say? These are the kind of places that are good for the heart. And also for the wallet, given all we ate and a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended. Well done, guys.
