A great little bakery. The scrocchia is a must-try. And they have a variety of excellent baked goods, including exceptional desserts! Prices are reasonable.

I go in to get "a piece of bread" and leave with a bag full. Authentic and varied bread, spectacular desserts, professional and extremely friendly staff. Top.

The most famous pizza scrocchia in Rome, it supplies so many restaurants! Excellent pizza and bread, plus they also have cheeses and some cured meats. I discovered they also have "good to go" boxes. I'll try them. I often order parcels with feta or broccoli and sausage, sometimes Portuguese pastel de nata. They have lots of desserts. I go there often because I always try new things, like the zucchini or eggplant meatballs that are amazing.

I was born and raised in Monteverde, yet I was unaware of this bakery's existence! The other day, at my partner's suggestion, I stopped by on my way home to pick up some schiacciata. I felt at home right from the moment I walked out of the shop, but it moved quickly, like when you entered the old bakeries of yesteryear in Rome, where you'd buy a pizza bianca, top it with mortadella, and the whole family would have lunch there. There's a buzz at Forno Marchetti, and as I read now online about its history, the schiacciata is phenomenal: thin, fresh, and crunchy! I'm so grateful to those who have the perseverance to continue making something good that has deep roots in this city. Thank you!
