Over the years, it has gained more and more recognition. It has now far surpassed the Pasticceria Tre Fontane across the street... always chaotic. Fantastic croissants. Informal atmosphere, just like it used to be, impeccable service. Well done!

Excellent bakery. I had their homemade erbazzone, which was delicious. The gnocco was also delicious. I also had some croissants, the best I've ever eaten. Paid about €11 for two people. For erbazzone, pizza, and gnocco.

03/03/2026: "A must-visit in Reggio Emilia! I'm often here for work, and Canasta was a wonderful discovery. The owner and all the staff are wonderful, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Even though the place is always packed (a sign of great quality!), the welcome is always top-notch. From the pizza to the meat and fish dishes, the quality is top-notch. The desserts are especially noteworthy: strictly homemade and delicious! Highly recommended!"

Il Pasticcio - Pasticceria Caffetteria

19/10/2025: I absolutely recommend it: a pastry shop with truly excellent products. I haven't had a chance to try their desserts yet, but based on their breakfasts (i.e., croissants and erbazzone), I imagine they'll be very good. They have various types of pastries for breakfast (I've tried at least 2 or 3 and was satisfied). You can tell they're made in-house: the dough is soft and crumbly, the quality of the ingredients is excellent, and they fill the pastry however you like (for me, the best is the pistachio cream, but I've also tried the gianduja and it wasn't bad). It's a shame it's such a small place; there's a long line, so stopping there isn't the best option. There are a couple of tables outside, but nothing special.
03/10/2025: A small, slightly hidden pastry shop near the hospital. There's a few parking spaces in front, but there are paid parking spots on the street. They have some seating outside, but inside you're standing. Quality sweets (I recommend the Veneziana filled with gianduia cream) at reasonable prices. They also have various savory options and their own products for sale. Professional staff.
