Formica In Favignana

I ate at Formica at the suggestion of several friends and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The place is very welcoming, delicious and minimal decor. The staff are super welcoming and hospitable. The only thing is the reservation. I tried to book via the site and it gave me a waiting list which apparently doesn't exist. Subsequently I called and they told me that there was the possibility of sitting only in the outdoor area. Once we got there we were The first ones and there was the possibility of staying inside. We were welcomed with warm bread and oil. Delightful. We chose two appetizers, the tuna steak and the panko anchovies. As main courses, rigatoni with anchovies, onion cream and spaghetti with bottarga. Sweet Brownies. All accompanied by a bottle of wine and an excellent passito dessert. I highly recommend. Excellent combination of traditional and modern cuisine.

In our stay in Sicily, without a doubt, the best restaurant we ate at. The balance in the dishes was almost perfect. A beautiful experience and top service.

Simply the best restaurant in Favignana. Friendly staff, fine location and FABULOUS food. Unsurpassed quality and flavours. I would go back 1000 times.

An excellent dinner. Fine wine, refined food, and PERFECT pasta cooking! (as well as well executed).

Questo ristorante abbina molto bene piatti della tradizione siciliana con piatti della cucina giapponese. Il servizio è veloce e preciso. I piatti che ho preso sono stati una delizia.

The best restaurant on the island, with fresh and excellent quality fish. The dishes are refined and well balanced. The price is a little above average, but it's worth every penny. We can't wait to go back. Go there if you can, you won't regret it!

Ogni volta che torniamo in questo magico ristorante l’emozione che si prova rimane sempre la stessa, così come lo stupore per i piatti nuovi e mai assaggiati prima!… Anche se… il risotto in brodo di pesce e crostacei, crudo di gambero rosso e ‘nduja e lo sgombro marinato pomodoro, capperi , origano, salsa chilli e maionese … sono per me una gioia della vita alle quale non riesco a rinunciare !!!! 🥰 Tutto sempre ottimo, ogni singola goccia che compone i piatti è studiata e messa in maniera tale da valorizzare i sapori ineguagliabili delle creazioni dello spettacolare chef che con passione e dedizione prosegue il suo cammino acquistando ogni giorno il pescato dai pescatori locali potenziando ciò che il nostro mare offre senza inserire nel menù pesci che non rientrano nella cultura isolana ad esempio! Formica Osteria è un altro pianeta e senza dubbio il miglior ristorante dell’isola per le materie prime d’eccellenza utilizzate e plasmate da mani esperte e preziose che riescono a far vivere esperienze sensoriali uniche anche “solo” scegliendo la melanzana ad esempio!!! Fantastico anche il pane fatto anch’esso da loro che rievoca sapori ormai perduti, ottima ed insolita carta dei vini che presenta offerte di piccole cantine che producono vini biologici e naturali. Preciso, puntuale, professionale e sorridente il servizio ai tavoli ! Tutto sempre perfetto !🏆

The best restaurant on the island! The Japan/Sicily combination is incredible. It's difficult to choose the tastiest dish...perhaps the raw red prawn, cold potato cream, dried tomato pesto, shallots...or...the risotto in fish and shellfish broth, raw red prawn and 'nduja. Why not instead the seared marinated mackerel, tomato, capers and oregano. The tuna Tataki deserved the star ⭐️. Impressed and happy. The meeting between Chef Taka's oriental cuisine and Federica's Sicilian cuisine is perfect. Service could be improved... fair prices for the technique and passion that can be perceived in the dishes.
