19/07/2025: A true Trieste gem: authentic flavors and a unique welcome... I visited Vecio Buffet Marascutti with two friends and we left smiling and full. A place that conveys the genuine soul of Trieste, where you can feel the atmosphere of home and eat like the old days. The owner is a delightful person: brisk but friendly, and you can immediately sense the passion of someone who truly loves their job. The goulash gnocchi were simply delicious, soft and well-seasoned, with a flavorful yet balanced sauce. The cod stew with polenta was a delightful surprise: tender, rich in flavor, and perfectly accompanied by warm, comforting polenta. A simple yet authentic place, with an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The service is quick, courteous, and unfussy, as it should be in a true trattoria. The quality-price ratio is excellent. Ultimately, this place is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a genuine, local culinary experience. I'll definitely be back!
