As soon as you enter this local restaurant, you can tell everything is going to be freshly cooked and home made. A small team of two or three women in the kitchen preparing local dishes like pici (with a great local pesto recipe) and crostini with toppings that melt in your mouth. And not expensive. Don't miss it if you are in Sienna, you will pay half the price of eating in the main square and have a great local experience.

The platter was delicious. The place is a bit small, but the food was exceptional.

A true family restaurant! Great food and service, all locals visited, expect for us. Very accommodating with communication and ordering. My wife was congratulated for cleaning her plate with bread as is custom in Italy (Scarpetta) this made my wife's night as it was something she learned from her Italian grandmother! A wonderful experience typical of a land rich in history and hospitality. There were 8 of us for lunch, two families with 4 adults and 4 children. What can I say? We called only an hour in advance because we had just arrived in Siena. We enjoyed a stroll in the center and then, upon arriving, the atmosphere was that of a typical Tuscan osteria. They don't have many seats and, to our surprise, they asked us if we wanted the "private" room on the other side of the restaurant. Here, a whole new world opened up, as if we were at a dear friend's home. The young and very kind staff explained everything to you. The food was delicious and truly plentiful, including wine, first courses, and platters of cured meats and cheeses, along with strictly local desserts. Finally, the price was very honest. In short, a very pleasant surprise. I will recommend it to all my friends who come to Siena because, as I always say, THE BEST ADVERTISING IS TO RETURN AND SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE.

I celebrated my 35th wedding anniversary today and chose to come to Siena, and I chose this restaurant. An excellent choice, simple but with perfect cuisine. Friendly staff.

The pici all'aglione were remarkable. That's how I'd like to start this review of this family-run restaurant, located away from the bustle of Piazza del Campo. A tasty lunch, with good cold cuts and cheeses, excellent first courses... what can I say? An unpretentious but truly tasty and restorative lunch break!
