I celebrated my 35th wedding anniversary today and chose to come to Siena, and I chose this restaurant. An excellent choice, simple but with perfect cuisine. Friendly staff.

The pici all'aglione were remarkable. That's how I'd like to start this review of this family-run restaurant, located away from the bustle of Piazza del Campo. A tasty lunch, with good cold cuts and cheeses, excellent first courses... what can I say? An unpretentious but truly tasty and restorative lunch break!

A very good option for seafood in La Maddalena. We ordered a mixed fried food and tuna, which were excellent. The service is excellent, and the restaurant has lovely details typical of a seafood restaurant.

Traditional food made by Nonna! Away from the beautiful but touristy Campo, with its obscene prices, this little restaurant is a cozy reminder of why simple Italian food is the best, and harder and harder to find.

A true osteria serving local cuisine. We left with full bellies despite the reasonably priced food. Giant portions and truly delicious. Recommended the mixed platter (to share) and the meatballs. We'll definitely be back!

A typical home-style osteria, far removed from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism, despite being just five minutes from Piazza del Campo! Everything is delicious, all authentic flavors... The portions are also generous. A huge yes!

It was right next to my hotel, so I happened to drop by. The food was better than I expected, and the house wine, both red and white, was excellent and well-priced. We ordered one dish each, but they divided it into two portions, knowing we would share. The stewed tripe was also delicious and unforgettable.

I ordered the Pici all’aglione (garlic and tomato thick Italian noodles). The noodles are traditional Tuscan handmade noodles with a nice chewy texture, firmer than typical Italian noodles, and the more you chew them, the more flavorful they become. The sauce, based on tomatoes and garlic, was perfectly balanced—not too sour, with a subtle hint of spice. It was fragrant but not cloying, and the overall flavor was perfectly balanced. This was my favorite pasta dish I had in Siena, and I highly recommend it! I also ordered the Arista di maiale (Herbal Pork). It was a bit salty at first, but it became more and more enjoyable. The aroma of the herbs blended perfectly with the gravy. Paired with the provided bread, it was a truly appetizing and satisfying experience. Overall, the cuisine here is truly local, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful seasoning, making it a delightful experience. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm. It's definitely worth a visit when in Siena!
