Mi piace definirmi "affezionato cliente" di questo locale: da quando l'ho scoperto svariati anni addietro infatti è sempre stato la mia prima scelta quando si tratta di cenare a base di pesce a Catania.
Ed anche stavolta, manco a dirlo, la fiducia è stata ampiamente ripagata.
Le immagini dicono già tanto secondo me, ma è solo visitando questo piccolo ma meraviglioso angolo gastronomico del capoluogo etneo che, ne sono certo, diverrete entusiasti anche voi.

Eccellente! Antipasti di crudo e di cotto veramente sublimi. Abbinamento di pesce, frutta e fiori edibili sopraffino! Dessert unici. Si sente che c'è una ricerca e non il solito pesce. Da provare assolutamente! Ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo.

Location : very nice, in one of the streets in Catania with the Umbrellas.
Seating : both outside and inside. We stayed outside, very comfortable, not on a Main Street so no noise. Inside seating had air conditioning.
Service : we were served by the owner of the restaurant, a lovely lady showing professionalism and efficacy of the highest standard. The table we had reserved was preprepared on arrival, the service was efficient, the recommendations of dishes fit exactly what we were looking for.
Food : the grilled octopus and fried seafood was of the highest quality, probably the best I’ve had on the Mediterranean. The fork and standard dinner knife slide in and out of the octopus easily, no need for a steak knife here, it’s super tender, really well done ++
In summary : we had a great time. 5/5 recommandation.
We talked to the owner afterwards at the end of the meal and we were impressed with the passion she had for food and quality service.

The service is of gastronomic quality in a friendly, convivial and serene atmosphere, taking care to let the meal happen, while not forgetting to inquire about customer expectations. The manager, who provides the service, takes the time to answer questions with a dynamism that is rare these days. As for the meal, the French language lacks superlatives to describe the octopus and fried seafood ingested. We will settle for an...EXCELLENT and DELICIOUS meal!

We went to Filo d'Esca seafood restaurante with my family, we had some aperifish, we found everything to be of excellent quality, in the end there were also two tasters of dessert, the owner was a very kind and welcoming lady, what can I say, we will happily return .

I got to know this place through an organic video on social media created by an influencer who promoted the place "Abundant and refined aperitif". The video is not recent (2022) so I was careful to call before going to the restaurant. The very kind owner confirmed the accuracy of the video, made a short list of the dishes (short because I interrupted her) The "sponsored" aperitif included a mixed fish starter, 2 second courses and 3 desserts €18
Obviously it was false communication to attract customers, because it didn't coincide... I can understand that some courses change but if it is confirmed that the video is correct I expect the correct courses.
The minimal aperitif was good, I liked the prawn. I didn't like the couscous, it went back, it looked like baby food.
2 aperitifs 2 people 1 bottle of water €45, for the quality and quantity the price is high.
I answer...Yes, she was clear but in her own way... Aiming "for the catch of the day and the search for quality". I imagine that great research has gone into serving frozen French fries from supermarkets (unlike the chips with fresh potatoes advertised on the video). Great research into serving 1 small plate of second course, a sorbet, a spoonful of ricotta with a composition*deconstructed cannoli". I remind you that it's not with Fuffa that generates customers... because she confirmed that the video was correct.
Assuming that the aperitif was good overall, no one criticized the dishes... but everyone in a public and democratic virtual place reacts and writes what they think.
Let's not talk nonsense... about quality and fish.
Allow me to tell you that the mussels are caught all year round but the "seasonality" and quality starts in June.
Make every discreet review a strong point to improve yourself. Use your art and dialectical skills to write other advertising content.
